Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia

An 86 year-old male, O+, with a history of anemia presented with extreme fatigue in 2020 and significant weight loss. BMBx found erythroid megloblasoid maturation and abnormal cytogenetics. Diagnosed with low-grade Myelodysplastic syndrome. Severe anemia a year later, repeated BMBx and did not met MDS criteria. This presentation will further discuss the patient's case and labs along with diving into autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
