Laboratory Diagnosis of Vaginitis

This lecture will briefly cover the clinical presentation, point-of-care testing, and laboratory diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis, candida vaginitis, and trichomoniasis. It will provide a broad overview of common testing modalities including nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT). Codetection of vaginitis agents and other sexually transmitted infections will also be addressed.
