Testing Methodologies of Herpes Simplex Viruses 1 and 2

This presentation will briefly describe the symptoms, transmission, and management of herpes simplex viruses 1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2). There will be an emphasis on diagnostic testing methodologies including viral cultures, DFA stains, PCR testing, serologic assays, and immunohistochemical stains.
