Target Audience: This activity has been designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals, specifically medical laboratory scientists.

P.A.C.E.® approved programs are accepted by the ASCP-BOC for recertification, and for license renewal in all licensure states except Florida.

Florida has additional requirements for continuing education that are managed by CE Broker at the direction of the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.


Objectives:
  • Identify the challenges of clinical laboratories during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Examine traditional laboratory management concepts and evaluate how they are or are not applicable during a pandemic
  • Propose alternative strategies to accommodate dramatic and selective increases in test volumes during pandemics
  • Describe solutions that support maintaining an intact clinical laboratory workforce—and the overall critical mission—during times of crisis

Method of Participation: To receive a statement of credit, you must:

  1. Watch the video in its entirety
  2. Successfully complete the video post-test (80% or higher)
  3. Submit certificate completion information
  4. Complete the course evaluation

All CE credit granted on this website (arup.utah.edu) is provided as a service to medical laboratory professionals as part of the academic mission of the University of Utah’s Department of Pathology and ARUP Laboratories. After completing the post-test and submitting your information where prompted, a certificate will be generated and available for printing or saving.
